Once upon a time, there was a young canine named Hero who roamed the streets with his owner. His owner had a soft spot for him, but couldn’t give him the attention and care he needed. Ultimately, he decided to give up Hero to a rescue group based in California. With many animals needing help, some of them were brought all the way to British Columbia to find loving families.

Sarah thinks this might be because he spent a lot of time outside in the past and now finds comfort in the cozy indoors. Despite his aversion to exercise, the bond between Hero and his owners is special. When Hero feels scared or unwell, he seeks shelter on the bathroom floor, which has become his go-to safe space. One day, Sarah came home feeling low, and Hero surprised her by bringing her the bathmat. It was a touching moment that demonstrated Hero’s incredible empathy and kindness towards his humans.
