The owner of an Irish Setter named Poppy was surprised when her dog gave birth to 15 puppies, instead of the expected 10. The litter arrived on Mother’s Day and the owner, Lisa Wardle, was in awe as the pups kept coming. Lisa, who is 40 years old, intends to sell most of the adorable puppies.

Lisa Wardle, the owner of a Setter named Poppy, was anticipating a litter of eight to 10 puppies. However, she was surprised when the puppies just kept coming. Eventually, Poppy gave birth to an astonishing 15 pups. Lisa’s daughter, Abi, has decided to keep one of the puppies so that two-year-old Poppy can still have contact with her offspring. Poppy is doing well considering it’s her first litter, and all the dogs are healthy. Lisa received a lot of interest in the puppies, both from people on Facebook and those who stopped her on the street. Although the vet predicted eight to 10 puppies, Poppy surpassed the record for Setters by birthing 15 puppies.
Abi, Lisa’s child, has decided to adopt one of the small puppies once they are weaned from Poppy so that Poppy can still have a connection with one of her offspring.
According to Lisa, Poppy is an amazing and affable canine companion, which is precisely why she wishes for other households to experience the joy of having such a lovable pet.
Lisa plans to sell the puppies to other families, but she emphasizes that it’s not about making money. She had to take a break from work when the puppies were born. Currently, there are six potential buyers who have shown interest in purchasing the pups. According to Lisa, her family, including her husband Peter, their two sons, and daughter Abi, feel extremely fortunate to have a dog as wonderful as Poppy. Lisa adores Poppy’s gentle demeanor and wants other households to experience the joy of having a dog like her. She explains that she took time off work to care for Poppy while she was giving birth, alternating with her daughter Abi to ensure that everything went smoothly. Lisa admits that she’ll be heartbroken when the puppies leave, and although she considered keeping them, she believes that her spouse would not approve.
According to Lisa, she will feel extremely sad when all of them leave. However, she made a lighthearted joke about her husband being upset with her if she decides to keep all of them.
